In this video, I talk about how to begin figuring out which diet for autoimmunity might be right for you. If you want to explore autoimmune paleo, the ketogenic diet, the carnivore diet, low oxalate, low FODMAP, or dietary lectins press play. Since 2014 I’ve played with the shades of paleo listed above. From what I’ve experienced and learned I don’t believe there is one absolute perfect diet for everyone. 

There are layers in that some diets for autoimmunity are more restrictive than others. Some have success with a simple paleo template. Others find that they need to eliminate more food groups. Autoimmunity begins with gut health and belive it or not there are a number of food groups, that we’ve always believed to be healthy, that could actually cause autoimmune issues like joint pain.

We’re all unique individuals with unique health histories and varying levels of gut health. I mean, I grew up taking antibiotics every winter for tonsillitis, if not more often. It was the 80’s so everything was cooked in Crisco, I drank Kool-Aid daily, and every Friday was pizza and soda night.
